It covers expenses only for accident injury and acute illness*. Limits: up to 60,000 BGN medical and 500 BGN dental expenses. It is obligatory for the foreign people that apply for long/short term residence or Visa. * Definition of “acute illness”: An acute illness is an illness that onsets very rapidly and is of short duration. * A classic example is the so-called “stomach flu.” While acute illnesses may not last long, they can be very dangerous and in some cases are deadly.
